Solid skills to reach your goals
Whistler Singletrack MTB skills courses are aimed at developing specific aspects of riding. With these session we want to address the most common skills that riders want to learn and/or improve. These courses are all 2.5 hour sessions and take place once a month. If there is a date or skill that you would like to work on but there are no courses for it, please contact us and we will try to make it happen. Intro to MTB is an initiation course to mountain biking. The goal is to create a solid base and provide participants with a safe and fun start to the sport. We will learn about trail safety, body position and how to operate a bike properly. This clinic is for beginner riders, participants must be able to ride a bike on pavement.
Intro to mtb
The goal of Air Skills is to start getting some air in control. Riders will review and practice the skills required to do jumps and drops with proper technique. Whistler Singletrack coaches will guide students through a progression that is efficient, safe and fun. This course is for strong intermediate and advanced riders.

Cornering
Cornering courses are divided in two: Cornering 1, for novice riders and Cornering 2, aimed at intermediate riders. Over these sessions riders will learn the different moves used when cornering and the sequence of what happens when. Slow or fast corners, steep, bermed or flat, Uphill or downhill corners.
Trail mechanics is mountain bike workshop about the most common mechanical problems that might arise on the trail and how to fix them. The goal is to prepare participants to be self-sufficient riders. We will learn how to fix wheels and chains, adjust gears and shifting, maintain and set up a bike.

– First day meeting: Whistler skatepark, by the 3 picnic tables next to Lot3. Map here.
– Each course is 2.5 hours long.
– Ride plans depend on the group and trail conditions.
– WE DO NOT RIDE IN THE BIKE PARK.
– Max 5 riders per group, we need 2+ participants to run the clinic.
– Please read the Level Descriptions and sign up for a program accordingly.
– Be comfortable exercising outside for long periods of time in different weather conditions.
– Sign the waiver and fill the emergency
– Agree with our terms of service and cancelation policy.
– Mountain bike in good working condition. Full suspension when riding black trails.
– Helmet in good shape and that fits well.
– Knee pads mandatory, gloves highly recommended, elbow pads recommended.
– Enough food and water for the ride.
– A tube that fits your tires.
– Sun screen depending on weather.
– Appropriate attire and shoes for mountain biking and weather conditions.
– A back pack to carry your gear and supplies.
