Novice Summer mtb Camps
Consolidate the fundamentals
Novice mountain bike camps are for riders 6-12 years old that have pedaled a few times on non paved roads or green trails, group will split by age. The goal of these summer camps is to help participants consolidate the basic skills to ride with more control and confidence on green trails and to start looking at some easy blue trails. Along the three days riders will develop body position, braking and shifting.Â
Whistler Singletrack counts with a strong background teaching kids and developing young athletes. With a safety first approach and careful progression, our coaches deliver lots of fun and learning. Please read the Level Descriptions to sign up for the right camp.

– Drop off / pick up at the picnic tables by the skatepark next to parking lot 3, Click here for directions.
– Camp runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Wednesday, except Stat holidays. Total hours of coaching: 15.
– Thursday/Friday add-on days available. Please email us for more info.
– Ride plans are based on the group and trail conditions. We do not ride in the Bike Park.Â
– Max 5 kids per coach, we need 2+ riders to run the camp. Groups will split by age.
– Please read the Level Descriptions and sign up for a program accordingly.
– Novice riders: Comfortable riding non-paved roads, can control speed in easy descents and change gears.
– Be comfortable exercising outside for long periods of time and under different weather conditions.Â
– Sign the waiver and fill the emergency contact form before the start of camp.
– Check our Terms of Service and Cancellation policy.

– Mountain bike in good working condition.Â
– Helmet in good shape and that fits well.
– Knee pads mandatory, gloves highly recommended, elbow pads recommended.
– Enough food and water for the ride.
– Depending on the weather, sun screen.Â
– Appropriate clothing and shoes for mountain biking and for the weather.
– A backpack to carry your supplies.
